I am the founder of Vocalina and an educator with over 30 years of experience in language development and early childhood education. I created the Vocalina program to help children learn to read, write, and speak Spanish through phonetic awareness and engaging materials. In addition to developing this program, I have written several children’s books that promote values and self-esteem, including La Fiesta del Gorila and La Búsqueda.
Throughout my career, I have taught at various schools in Colombia and the United States, gaining extensive experience in literacy and creativity workshops, as well as private Spanish tutoring. As a Preschool Education Technician, I have pursued continuous professional development, earning multiple certifications in areas such as life coaching and teaching methodologies.
My passion for fostering a love for learning and empowering children to express themselves with confidence has inspired me to participate in MyThirdTeacher. I believe that multilingual education and innovative teaching methods are key to shaping inclusive, globally minded learners. Through this initiative, I hope to contribute my expertise in literacy and early childhood education to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences that support language development and personal growth.
