Ximena is a bilingual educator with over 35 years of leadership experience in education, specializing in curriculum design and innovation. As an international educational consultant, she has extensively applied the Reggio Emilia approach within Colombia’s Early Childhood Special Attention Strategy and has coordinated the International Baccalaureate Organization’s Primary Years Programme in several schools in Colombia. Additionally, she has managed educational quality systems, including EFQM, ISO, and COGNIA, ensuring excellence in academic institutions.
Beyond her leadership roles, she has advised numerous institutions on curriculum development and the implementation of Project-Based Learning, Cultures of Thinking, and 21st Century Education across diverse educational settings, both nationally and internationally. She serves on the Board of Directors for REDSOLARE Colombia and contributes as a member of the Ministry of National Education’s expert group on Preschool Education, advocating for innovative and high-quality early childhood learning experiences.
